Fascial Stretch Therapy
What is Fascial Stretch Therapy
Fascial Stretch TherapyTM is a unique, complete system of assisted stretching. It focuses on the fascia, a network of layered connective tissue that surrounds muscles, bones, and joints.
Stretching the fascia involves a hands-on series of stretches. The patient lies on a massage table equipped with comfortable straps that stabilize parts of the body not being worked on. Breath work helps the patient engage deeply in each stretch.
How can Fascial Stretch Therapy help
The benefits of traditional stretching are increased greatly by extending the stretch to the joint capsule with the chiropractor’s assistance. Stretch therapy is recommended for athletes and other active patients, as it improves athletic performance, range of motion, and posture, and helps decrease risk of injury, stress, and muscle soreness.
How long are Fascial Stretch Therapy sessions
Sessions are offered for upper body, lower body, and combination. 60–90 minute sessions are recommended for optimal benefits; 30 minute sessions are also offered.
Patients are advised to wear loose-fitting or athletic clothing during their treatment.
